The definition of physical fitness will determine your success

sheemobaxter Saturday, October 23, 2010

Always amazes me that life is a multi-billion dollar industry ... Still a solid, concise definition and universal fitness is difficult to nail.

Just ask someone participating in a physical fitness program, or even someone in the fitness industry for that matter, to give you a clear definition of fitness.

Probably will be satisfied with the look "deer caught in headlights" accompanied by stammering absurd.

If you receive a reply, you will probably be inclined towards the specific skills of the person who asked.

For example ...

A marathon runner will define fitness in terms of muscle strength and cardiorespiratory endurance ...A power-lifter will define fitness in terms of absolute force ...A bodybuilder will define fitness in terms of size and muscle definition ... etc.

But the vast majority of people participating in a physical fitness program isn't professional athletes concerned with improving the physical capacity of just one.

Therefore, basing eligibility definition on a specific physical skills do not lead to a universal definition of fitness.

The fact is that the success of fitness will be determined by a definition of fitness ...Then take time to make sure you have a clear definition of fitness.

Once you see how a clear definition of fitness can improve your physical training, you'll wonder how you ever physically trained in the past without one.

Then what would a universal definition of fitness be for someone who wanted to physically train to become a better human being, all round?

I am glad you asked ... but let's step by step.

Here's a good definition of fitness ...

The degree of competence and ability to perform in all physical abilities--cardiorespiratory endurance, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, accuracy and robustness.

Feel already criticism from the crowd athletics ...You can "tweak" the performance of all physical abilities in this definition of fitness at the same time.

And are absolutely right!

Fitness is not the "maximization" of a particular physical skill in a particular time, but rather "Optimization" of all physical abilities at any time.

Fitness is a compromise of all the different physical abilities that make up human activities.

Watch this way…

We say that all physical abilities were presented separately.

Some specialized athletes would score very high on some physical skills ... and very low on others.

But a person who personified fitness true, universal would Score well on all physical abilities ... without being necessarily the best at any one skill.

Here's an excellent definition fitness ...

The acceptable compromise and deliberate competence and ability to perform in all areas of resistance cardiorespiratory endurance, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, accuracy and toughness to produce best results under the most circumstances.

Not only is it a compromise universal fitness of all physical abilities ... but is the ability of all to integrate all physical abilities and a flow capacity for next perfectly to complete a task.

So, what would be adopting this definition of fitness do for you?

The training program would be evaluated physical fitness as well "optimized" all physical abilities and not just as well it "maximized" a particular skill at the expense of everyone else.

Basically, structuring your physical training to improve all physical abilities of this definition of fitness would greatly improve the performance on all physical in a wider variety of tasks.

Now that's not because most of us physically train?

Studying this definition of fitness and use it to measure your current training program of physical fitness.

As we measure up?

If your current training program lacks ... surely it is time for a change.

Your fitness success depends on it!
